Here's a good project to do during the winter -- put that basement space to better use! Got kids' toys knee-deep in your living room? Talk to Gilmore Construction about adding a family room for the kids in the basement. They can have their own space for toys and play. You might want to add a powder room in the basement for the kids to use. Do you have an older child coming back home to live? Consider putting a bedroom and bath in the basement for more privacy. Does your basement have a door to the outside? According to Don Gilmore, it's a good idea. "If you're going to have family members playing or sleeping down there, it's safer to have a way for them to get out in an emergency."
